The cathedral is Malaga's most famous city landmark. Work on this enormous building began in 1528 but it was not completed for many years.
The Malaga Cathedral was intended to have two bell towers, however, the second tower was never built.

The Malaga Cathedral is affectionately referred called "La Manquita" - the "one-armed lady".
